Netflix’s one of the best YA shows Ginny and Georgia Season 3 is almost here. Dropping this week, Thursday, the new season is sure to be wild, juicy, and full of drama. Ginny and Georgia season 2 dropped back in January 2023, almost two years ago.
And, if things are a little blurry, here’s a full recap of Ginny and Georgia season 2, before you step into season 3 drama.

Georgia Smothered Tom Fuller In Ginny and Georgia Season 2
Okay, let’s start backward. And, this has to be the biggest plot point for season 2. While accompanying Austin, her son, on a playdate with Zack Fuller, Georgia killed Tom Fuller, Cynthia Fuller’s husband, who was in hospice with little time to live.
We saw Cynthia talking about how she would like her husband to let go and find peace. While playing an indoor game of hide and seek, Austin SAW her mom kill Tom while hiding in a closet.
Georgia gets Arrested at her own Wedding
Well, after she gets married. Georgia and Mayor Paul Randolf finally get married after a bumpy relationship. Georgia was able to capture Paul’s heart in season 1 of Ginny and Georgia. However, it was only in season 2, that she came all clean about her past to Paul.
Hardships aside, they do get married in the last episode of Ginny and Georgia season 2, only for Georgia to be arrested at her own wedding reception. She was arrested on claims that she killed Tom Fuller, Cynthia’s husband (which she actually did). The season finale ended with Georgia getting arrested and Austin running behind the cops’ car for his mom. He later revealed to Ginny, his sister, that he did see their mother kill Tom.
Ginny and Marcus broke up in Ginny and Georgia Season 2
While the duo did come into a happy relationship, we also saw them struggling with different mental health conditions. Ginny was self-harming herself, while Marcus was facing the onset of a depressive episode, which was recited by himself in one of the episodes.
Ginny overheard Marcus talking to his twin sister about how he and Ginny shouldn’t be together. They finally broke up. However, Maxine, Marucs’ sister and Ginny’s best friend told Ginny that she and her parents were worried about Marcus. At the end of season 2, we also see Ginny being there for Marcus as a friend after the breakup.
Ginny’s Mental Health Condition
Ginny and Georgia season 2 started with Ginny, taking her little brother, and running away to live with her father briefly. After her dad found her about unhealthy coping mechanism, he put her in therapy, where we saw Ginny fighting her self-harm urges.
At this point in time, Georgia was unaware of the fact. However, she did learn the truth after reading her therapy journal.
Austin’s Father, Gill, came to the Town
Austin’s father, Gill Timmons, returned to Ginny and Georgia season 2, by showing up at Austin’s school. He later revealed to Georgia that he was around and was back for revenge.
We eventually learned about their history, the domestic violence, and how he treated Georgia when she was pregnant with Austin. To get rid of him, Georgia in her classic-old fashion got him arrested for embezzlement. When Cynthia saw Gill getting violent with Georgia at Austin’s school, she blocked his housing application, which ultimately stopped him from getting close to her and their son.
When Gill found out about this, we came to Georgia’s house, where her kids saw his true face. Austin held a gun to Gill’s face to protect his mother.
